| - The last time I took a dog into a vet it was a horror show (with me leaving with a dead dog and nearly $2k down the drain). So I was a little leery taking a dog in anywhere.
But then my dog was roughhousing with her Mom, and the poor little girl snagged her dewclaw (i.e., thumbnail) and it was bleeding and just hanging there. And the dog's Mom was none too happy when I said that the dog could just gnaw it off! Needless to say, I was now in the doghouse, unless something happened very quickly.
So I started calling around and I was getting the same broken record from every vet in the area: "We're booked solid." Until I saw on Adobe's website that they also did emergency services. I immediately packed up the dog in the car and we took off for Adobe as fast as a flash of light.
Sure enough, after we strolled in (actually the dog was limping) we were informed that they were also booked up. However, they would squeeze us in. And in about the time it takes to turn the page in a book, the (nervous) dog was being examined (more closely than the Zapruder Film of the JFK assassination), where she was given the red-carpet treatment - taken care of like a VID (Very Important Dog) - just like a celebrity!
And in the end, the dog was happy, her Mom was happy, and I was no longer in the doghouse thanks to Adobe Veterinary Clinic welcoming us with open arms!
