These people are true scum. They charge a $300 "documentation fee" for essentially passing paperwork from the doner of the boat to the buyer but almost NONE of the money goes to charity. Instead, almost all the money goes to inflated salaries for the families that make up the "employees" who founded the fake non-profit. Boat Angel does not provide its records to the public so few know about this scam. There is a loophole in California law that allows this so-called non-profit to act as a yacht broker without providing any of the safeguards one gets buying from a real broker.

DON'T buy from them and don't donate your boat to them. There are legitimate charities that are happy to accept your boat. Don't donate to "charities" or non-profits that will not publish their financial records.
