They just send you to the emergency room unless you have the flu. According to more than one nurse at emergency room there was no good reason that UMC quick care could not accommodate my situation. I told them the reason that UMC quick care gave me but the emergency room workers said that was nonsense. While I was in the emergency room I saw two other people arrive shortly after me who were also at UMC quick care. And then after I sat in the emergency room for a good four hours somebody else came in and said they were just sent there by the UMC quick care. Obviously in some cases this is appropriate but not in mine, I wasted my entire day off sitting in an emergency room which was a complete shit show, for five hours, and I'm going to have to an astronomical bill. I don't have insurance, I could've just easily paid cash at UMC quick care. As of this moment I am planning on taking UMC quick care to small claims court because I don't believe that it is justified that they sent me away and I don't believe that I should have to pay an astronomical a bill when I could've easily afforded to pay cash at UMC quick care. Based on all the reviews that are saying the same thing I am saying I will most likely win in small claims court. If they would've been honest and said we simply are not confident enough to handle this I would've went to a different quick care. They made it sound like only a hospital could deal with it. Not the case according to the hospital staff. Because of that and only because of that will I have this giant bill. As soon as I receive the bill and get my documents in order you will be receiving a letter certified.
