| - This is the best run resort we've ever visited. The staff are all very friendly and very genuine. You don't get the feeling that they are following a script, such as at places like Ritz Carlton. They are attentive and look for ways to make your stay more enjoyable. For instance, the woman cleaning our room the first day noticed I had a towel laid out on the floor of the bathroom and asked, "Would you like an extra bath mat?" Another time, we had just returned from hiking and had lunch. As we were ready to head back to our room the server brought two iced teas in to-go cups and said, "You will need to keep hydrated after your hike so these are for you." They are all very thoughtful in such ways. Every one of them greets you warmly when passing on a walkway or anywhere else, including the valets.
The grounds are immaculate, quiet and well appointed with fountains, swimming pools, hot tubs, and beautiful Spanish styling. The food is excellent at their main restaurant and we ended up eating most of our meals "on property" instead of venturing out, which is our norm.
I highly recommend a visit to Omni Montelucia in Scottsdale.
