I would not let her represent you for the custody of your shoes let alone your children. We gave her a $5,000 retainer and just received another $2,000 bill. She was unknowledgeable and unprepared for court. She showed up late looking unprofessional and seemed to be reading through notes and documents after she showed up late to try and familiarize herself with the case. This case could not of meant less to her. Once we were in with the judge she and her assistant had not pulled the documents that were on file with the court. So we both looked like we weren't prepared. The judge said that was her job and my Ex's $2,500 attorney definitely had the right documents. After court she also said that it was my fault and that I didn't give her the correct information. Well for $7,000 you think she would have read through the documents I am not a lawyer, that is why I hired her. Then after court she wrote me the longest email she had ever written explaining how that would not have impacted the case. So not only do you get a crappy lawyer for $7,000 you also get a psychic. And she charged me for writing this email explaining her lackluster performance. When speaking to the judge she did not come across as knowing any of the current laws or updates (I'm sure that is the wrong terminology, again not a lawyer). We had not spoken for sometime prior to the court date and I had emailed but apparently she was on vacation. She did talk about that, after showing up late and unprepared.
