Stopped by this location en route to a doctors appointment in the Pineville area. I was in search for vegan breakfast options and there were certainly slim pickings in the area. I love famous toastery but hadn't been since adopting a vegan diet. I perused the menu and figured I could probably finagle a vegan breakfast.
I ordered the fruit cup, bagel with peanut butter and the potatoes without butter. Everything turned out really good. I was especially surprised by the potatoes. It wasn't their typical potato perfection. But they were delicious nonetheless especially considering that this is an off-the-cuff vegan work-around. The fruit cup was delicious and fresh as always. My least favorite thing was the bagel not because of the flavor but because of the thickness. It was definitely a "roll with a hole" but the thinner half was a perfect conduit for the peanut butter.
All in all a good clutch vegan meal and would probably work if I had to come here with family or friends for breakfast. They still hold the title as one of my top breakfast spots in Charlotte.
The only reason this location didn't get the five stars that university location did (see my review) is because my server was a bit short and gruff. He wasn't altogether horrible, just not the best. Even still, when I have my appointments on this side of town I will definitely stop in for breakfast.
