  • BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! These people are vultures that pray on the elderly. My parents (in their 90's) were talked into 5 year contract for monitoring services. My father is legally blind and my mother was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with the onset of dementia. When we had to relocate our parents into an assisted living facility we discovered their contract had a mandatory lump sum payment totaling 80% of the 5 year contract value (nearly $2000). We talked to the company and explained my mother's mental reasoning was impaired and that my father was blind, so neither was capable of understanding all the fine print and also advised that the salesperson never explained the cancellation penalty to my parents. The company refused to remove the cancellation penalty or negotiate a lower rate and even said they would go after my parent's assets if they refused to pay.
