I must say I did leave this apartment building a but dissatisfied.
Some positive points-
Apartment interiors are good,
Spacious but a tad expensive as compared to other apartments in the area
Good appliances
Safe and quiet neighborhood - I did have some occasional intrusion in privacy as people mistook the patio for a public space but after they put up notices it helped.
They do have a good maintenance response time.
Some negative points-
Some people in the management are discourteous and rude, talk to tenants like they are employed by them. Few others are a bit nicer.
The apartment building has conveniently made it so if you try to apply for a street parking permit under your address the city of Madison doesn't allow it so you have no choice but to park in their garage which are expensive as compared to others in the area.
My apartment was shown more than a few times between December and May, and they do give you a specific time for the showings but they give lengthy time limits. I was inconvenienced on a couple of occasions when I was sleeping after a night shift . I had to really emphasize this problem to them and If request to change showing time as you are having guests over they give a very hard time with the same.. We did work it out with them but it was quiet stressful..
Here's the worst part : My apartment was cleaned by professional cleaning company before I moved out. Well, I received my security deposit back with a $130 deduction for cleaning (what exactly was cleaned was unspecified...), $70 for paint/labor.
The paint and floor should have been considered normal wear and tear as the scratches I assume they're referring to were actually present before I moved in.
The apartment management is not the best as compared to the ones I have worked with earlier. Decide if this place is for you! Otherwise- stay away!!!
