| - This Office Max has improved with regard to customer service since it first opened. The location is very close to my office, so it has become my go-to store for ink. My assistant recently visited this store to find a replacement desk chair, and found one on sale. I went the next day, found the ink we needed (I think I need a part-time job to pay for ink, so I really appreciate my Office Max discount card), and then the chair. She wanted one with a red cushion, and the only red one was the display item. I found an employee (usually, an employee greets me within a few minutes of my entering the store and offers assistance, but today, everyone was busy), he left his task at hand, and verified that no red chairs were left, and that I could not purchase the display chair. He proceeded to offer to order the chair for me (using a hand-held device), with free delivery to my office, and, without my asking, gave me the sale price (the sale tag was still on the chair, even though the sale price had ended the day before). He then began to instruct me to go to the print counter at the front of the store for my receipt, and then seeing that I had ink cartridges in my hand, told me that he would retrieve my receipt and bring it to me at the check-out register. The chair arrived at my office the next day, and my assistant loves her new chair.
The only challenge I regularly encounter at this Office Max is a waiting line at the check-out. This store does get a thumbs-up from me for being dog-friendly; my rescue schnauzer goes to work with me every day, and as many other places as I can take him.
