I love the atmosphere of La Rocca!! Well and pretty much everything else about it!
The dessert kitchen is open concept which is quite interesting and enjoyable to watch and the cafe portion itself is spacious and definitely a good place to hang out with a few friends. They also have a high communal table at the back with a large TV...Almost like a private area.
The desserts look pretty and you can tell a lot of thought has been put into them. You can get individual cakes/pastries, full size cakes, macarons, cupcakes and cookie. They also serve illy coffee and various tea beverages.
I bought some pastries recommended by other Yelpers for a friend and she really enjoyed them. I myself only tried one of their new desserts, the pear cake. It was refreshing, and had various layers of yummy goodness. It was part cake with a layer of chocolate mousse, pear filling and a crunchy base. Each bite was interesting and different. I would recommend it if you do not like desserts that are too sweet.
I also tried their London fog latte, it was so so as the tea tasted quite light. On the other hand, I have tried their latte before and it is nice and strong. Stick with the coffee drinks I'd say:)
Thumbs up, I will be back again since there is so much to try!
