I'm a huge fan of this bakery. I was raised in Stoughton, so I've been coming here for as long as I can remember. The library on the corner gives children a card that entitles one to a free cookie on reading hour days, so I would always come here. The donuts are light, not over done and delicious. Everything is cheap and wonderful, the cookies are especially worth your money. I'd recommend the molasses, sugar and Charlie Brown. (chocolate with raisins with chocolate frosting)
There's also homemade bread and soup. If you stay, you'll undoubtedly be witness to casual exchanges between neighbors and the gathering of older men who sit in the window. It's a great way to experience the spirit of Stoughton and if you're lucky, you'll hear a bit of Norwegian!
I strongly recommend this bakery if you have the chance to pass through town. If you have a bit longer, I'd go down to the river and eat your donuts there. (Take main to Division and turn right, follow until you hit the river. Total distance is about 2.5 blocks)
