  • Went in today to buy a Sealy adjustable base and mattress. the salesman Larry(I think) was very helpful. Of course he tried to slip in the extended warranty at an exorbitant price, cant fault them for that. I asked for the warranty add-on to be removed and he did it. I finally picked out my adjustable base and mattress, with a final sale price of around $2500. They had a firm mattress on display, so I asked for medium firmness mattress if they had it. Salesman said he could get me a medium firmness mattress, and we continued on to the paperwork. My final price was about $2999. They tried to charge me $400-$500 extra for the same mattress just because I wanted medium instead of firm. I told them I was reconsidering and would have to think about it. Next, another manager came over to talk to me(I assume he was the boss) He tried to use scare tactics on me, "your Yes financing is only good for today, you may not qualify if you try to get financing again", etc. I told him that was ok, this is a product I want, not a product I need and I wasn't going to buy after they tried to con me out of $400 dollars. I thanked them for their time and left. I will not return to this store and I suggest that people stay away.
