  • This review is for their "service" department. "Scam artists that bill for work that was not requested and not actually performed" department is more like it. Basically, brought the car in for a check engine light that stemmed from a previous repair they had performed (head gasket on a car with 55K miles). On this follow up visit, they claimed they performed some unauthorized, but very involved repairs to a vehicle that luckily had a third party maintenance agreement. They were happy to list them on the invoice in order to extort the warranty deductible from us, but anyone with a quarter of a brain that knows anything about cars could clearly see they didn't do several of the jobs on the repair order. I've never known a shop to perform a repair (rear main seal replacement) that involves dropping the axles and transmission in less than 5 hours, and somehow refill the transmission with the used automatic transmission fluid they drained from it. They're really good at putting hose clamps back in the EXACT same position as they were originally and reusing zip-ties that must be cut to move the wire harness out of the way. Also curious that they left my yellow Purolator oil filter on the block when they "changed the oil." The biggest loser here is the warranty company, since Midway Nissan racked up the bill with a variety of unnecessary parts (BOTH front lower control arms on a car with 55K miles!?!) and gratuitous labor (well over $2500 in labor on a car worth $6500) because they felt they could get away with it. Absolute scammers. Stay away from the sleaze balls on this service drive. They're all greasy snakes that will slither into your wallet. Adversarial when you call them out, and do an amazing disappearing act when you see their handy work on the invoice at the cashier. Cowardly crooks. Thankfully, we've moved on from our Nissan (the Chrysler of Japan, at best, total junk), so we won't have to deal with the poor reliability and unethical service from a dealership like this.
