  • We're about $9,000 invested in their products, which consist of an awesome black walnut live edge slab dining table with an equally awesome custom made black metal base, and a soon to be finished coffee table. We had high expectations when we decided to pull the trigger on a dining table that would end up with a price tag of over $6,000, and they truly delivered. There were several employees involved (including the owner) throughout the process and we found each of them to be very friendly, helpful, professional, and most important very good at their craft. We absolutely chose the slabs (actually it was multiple slabs) used for the dining table and the design of the stand was ours, so our table is as custom as custom gets. After seeing the finished dining table we immediately chose a very unique piece of eucalyptus for our soon to be completed coffee table. We get many compliments from neighbors/friends when they see the dining table and that alone validates the quality of work Porter Barn provides. We did not buy our barn door from Porter Barn, but we've seen several there that are awesome looking and had us second guessing the choice we made at a different business. Also saw a custom desk that would have been a great addition if I had not already purchased a new desk somewhere else. If you are in the market for extremely high quality custom wood furnishings you really should include Porter Barn in your search. I did some price comparisons and Porter Barn really is competitive, but that's not an easy task when you're building one-of-a-kind pieces. We could not be happier with Porter Barn and the great group of people there.
