  • Props go out to Adam Chavez at Sun Cyclery who very patiently and expertly showed recumbent trikes to my 70-year-old friend who had NEVER ridden a bicycle in her life. I brought her there as a bucket list dream of hers and although it seemed pretty clear we had no intention of buying a $1300 recumbent trike, he still let her try several and even let me try one even after I flat-out said I love my 2-wheeler still. He also took the time to unlock and let her ride upright trikes when she showed the slightest courage to try one of them, even demonstrating how well they handled, which was a huge surprise to me. Having contacted pretty much EVERY bike shop in the city, this was the ONLY one that would let you try a recumbent trike! When the time comes for me to get onto 3 wheels, That's where I'll go!
