  • If I want to go to a bar where I can just kind of disappear into the scenery, this is it. There's so much to look at, there's so much stimulation for the senses that I feel like I can leave myself behind. And isn't escapism the whole raison d'être for a tiki bar? The drinks are sweet and strong. The crowd is more rockabilly than hipster. The decor is just immersive beyond kitschy belief. I don't know how you can even be physiologically alive if you're in Frankie's Tiki Room and not having a good time.
