Visited Pittsburg primarily to watch the Chicago Cubs play the pirates at PNC park. Chose this hotel because of the proximity to the park, market street and the strip district. This truly is a great location and worth the price.
From the airport, we Ubered our way to the hotel. It's about a 30 minute drive and was about $30 on a Sunday morning.
Arriving at the hotel, we were very early and our room was not ready. We had brunch at the restaurant, which was a but pricey at $22 per person but the food and service were very good. Our waitress knew of our situation didn't rush us. She even recommended finding a sofa on the second floor and relaxing while we waited for our room. She even went out of her way and went to the front desk to see if there was anyway we can get a room sooner. Very nice of her to do that when she didn't have to.
Our room was a corner room with a great view of the park, bridge and river. Spacious and comfortable for our 4 day stay.
Joe, i believe one of the evening managers, was very nice and connected with us. He greeted us every time we saw him and wanted to make sure we were ok. We appreciated his special service and making sure our needs were met.
Just down the street is a Starbucks and a 7-11. We also visited red beard bar down the street as well for late night drinks and a snack. Very convenient to market square (walking distance) and about 1 mile from the strip district. We are ubered it and it was about $7.
One morning while my husband slept in, I walked across the street and walked along the river towards the steelers park. Great exercise and great views. The bridges are pedestrian friendly so you can cross easily. Walked all the way to three points park and back, all along the river. I felt safe the whole time and enjoyed the views and weather.
We would definitely stay here again.
