Thrifty really deserves ZERO stars. We reserved a mini van Sept. 28 2013 for April 11. Our flight was delayed so we called to let them know we would be coming in later than we had originally told them we would be there. They said Ok. When we got to the counter we were told they had no vans left. We told them we had not only reserved the van months ago but had called earlier that day to confirm. They said we could have a smaller car. To which we replied that we had six people in our party which is why we ordered a van in the first place. We asked why they bothered to take reservations of specific vehicles if it was a first come first serve policy. The reply to this was 'it is a busy time of year'. Duh, that was why we reserved months ago. They gave us a voucher which we could take to another car rental and we went to Payless and got a Ford Explorer. We are supposed to send the Payless receipt and the voucher to the Thrifty offices and are supposedly going to get reimbursed. I am not really hopeful that this will happen without a hassle but we shall see. We will never go to Thrifty again.
