| - I really wanted to like this place but couldn't. We wanted to relax at a pool and didn't realize it was Memorial Day weekend when we booked, so we ended up here, far away from the crazy Strip!
Firstly, my taxi dropped me off at the casino. You must walk about a mile to the lobby and it's incredibly confusing. Most taxis have a hard time picking up and dropping off here. It's really stupid the layout. It causes so much wasted time and headache and confusion.
Secondly, the food is crap. We asked to see the buffet and quickly walked out. The salad looked awful. They wanted $40 to eat garbage. No thanks. We took an Uber to Served to try a local brunch and it was great! Avoid the food here at Green Valley.
Thirdly, the Starbucks in the lobby is painfully slow. We waited 15 minutes to order and gave up.
Fourthly, our main purpose for this trip was pool relaxation. We arrived at the pool and nobody was there to give us towels or help us. We finally found a place to sit and then the wind picked up, knocking an umbrella over and it hit a woman in the head. Fire department came and took her out in a stretcher. Wind stopped but they made us all close our umbrellas. That was MISERABLE in the sun all day. It cut our pool day very short.
Fifthly, the girls who work the pool as waitresses are some of the biggest bitches I've ever met. We wanted to ask a girl about the reserved seats and she couldn't be bothered. In fact, she said she'd be right back to speak to us but never did, so we never rented the $100 seats. Glad we didn't because they had to close their umbrellas too. Poor service from Nevada girls that looks like burnt toast.
Sixthly, the walls in our room were PAPER THIN. I mean, I could hear the lady next door talking in her normal voice. Around 6 AM I had to knock on her door to ask her to be quiet. She apologized but wow, we could hear EVERYTHING. I did not get good rest there at all.
Overall I find it hard to say this place is a "resort". It was more like a glorified Motel 6.
Pros: pretty driveway and plants. Great valet guys. Lobby service is helpful and friendly. Pool looks pretty. Vineyard garden is pretty.
Cons: paper thin walls. Pool full of children. rude ass pool waitresses who lie and hate girls that are prettier than them. $14 mojitos in a tiny plastic cup. $8 Heineken 12 ounce cans. Pool umbrellas can't be opened when they send someone to the hospital. Sunburns. Casino is a maze with no exit to street (be warned). Taxis can sometimes take forever. Starbucks in lobby is slow as mud. Buffet food is of poor quality.
