| - I walked into China Spice in between jobs the other day, and was disgusted by the food. The workers there were nice, but the food was reprehensible. I ordered the Lettuce Wraps as an appetizer. When the appetizer was brought to my table, the dish looked like canned dog food placed in lettuce leaves. Much to my dismay, they tasted like ... what I imagine EXPIRED canned dog food to taste like. I finished one lettuce wrap out of 5 (just to make sure there wasn't something wrong with ME), and pushed the plate to the opposite end of the table. When my main dish, Singapore Noodles, was brought to my table, I was shocked to notice that there was no color in the dish. The noodles, meat, and sparse vegetables all appeared to be gray in color. They tasted like cardboard and salt. There was no flavor in this dish, whatsoever. I took four bites, asked for my check, and left. The check was $26. I should've gone to Panda Express. I would've paid $9, and I would have left satisfied. This is one of the top three most disgusting dining experiences I have ever had. When the waitress asked me if there was some reason I barely touched my food, I was too much in shock to utter more than an "I lost my appetite... "
I paid my bill, left a tip (because the service was good), and was so disgusted that I walked out without asking to speak with a manager. I just wanted to get the heck out of there. I was in shock, and thought I was going to be sick. Fortunately, I did not become ill. I will never dine at China Spice in Green Valley Ranch Station ever again.
