| - We stayed at the Monte Carlo during our sister retreat. The hotel is under a major renovation currently and isn't expected to be completed until 2018. Upon check-in there was an issue with locating our reservation. I booked through the 3rd party website my company uses. GTA is the company it ultimately found it under. It took about 30 mins standing in line, then about another 30 to find our reservation. Thinking this could've handled better. The pool is currently closed due to these renovations so we had to hike it over to the MGM in our swimsuits whenever we wanted to take a dip (not fun). Not sure why we could use the pool at The Aria since it was literally connected. The hotel staff was friendly and prompt each time we called from the room (extra blankets, wash clothes, and to unclog the tub). The rooms are really out dated, so the reno can't come soon enough. The smell in the casino is a bit overwhelming (like smoke, incents, & baby powder).Other than that, the hotel is in a good location on the strip and the view from the room was really nice, we were on the 21st floor with the strip right outside our window. The Park across the street is really nice place to grab something to eat, drink, and people watch. Overall, it was a decent stay.
