  • I have been a student of Guro Richard Lamoureaux since September 5 of 2012. His knowledge in Kali, Escrima, Arnis, JKD, Ju Jitsu, Kung Fu, and many other martial arts is like no one I have ever met. I am not one of his best students and I am sure that I am one of his slowest learners. I am exclusively training Kali with Guro Richard and what he has done for me in the past 2 years and 11 months is nothing short of a miracle. His patience with slower learners like me is exceptional and he is a wealth of knowledge, not just from the Martial Arts technique development side, but his knowledge and experience after 48 years of mastering many styles and disciplines, brings an experience for a beginner like me to the reality of what is possible. The people Guro Richard has trained under, and the legions of students he has trained, who have gone on to great achievements is stunning. Many of them are now leaders in their particular disciplines, with much credit for their success due to Guro Richard. I have not met Dan Inosanto but having read much about the masters of martial arts, I can say that Guro Richard Lamoureaux is at the top of the list with those who have passed on and those who are still with us. My goal in training with Guro Richard is not only to acquire as much Kali expertise as possible but also to acquire as much of his peace, gentleness kindness and ability as I possibly can. His martial arts expertise is only exceeded by the exceptional quality of a human being that he is. If you want to learn Kali or JKD or Ju Jitsu as I do, there is really only one Teacher I can recommend. That is Guro Richard Lamoureaux. He has truly changed my life for the better. I am blessed to be one of his students. If you have the opportunity to train under Guro Richard, you too will be blessed.
