| - I had Precision Air & Heating come out to my house on June 17, 2010 to service my air conditioning unit, as one of the two zones in my house was no longer blowing cool air. The seviceman apparently did a "complete tune up" per the receipt given to me, and charged me $255. On July 9, 2010, that same zone once again stopped blowing cool air. On July 10, 2010I had another serviceman from Precision come out to my home again to service the unit. The serviceman informed me that the unit was no longer serviceable and the entire unit had to be replaced, at a cost of appoximately $9,000. Even though Precision did not fix the problem the first time, the serviceman still charged me $39 for the service call.
I had a serviceman from an entirely different company come out the next day (July 11, 2010). He told me the compressor on the heat pump for the zone that was not blowing cool air just needed to be recharged. He fixed the problem for $160.
I paid Precision Air & Heating almost $300, and got nothing but a hard sell on extremely expensive equipment and service that I didn't need, that would have replaced my existing air unit that could have been serviced, but wasn't. I feel Precision Air and Heating was trying to scam me. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.
