This will only be the 2nd time that I given a one star. I've shopped online with H&M without hassle. I was in town visiting my best friend when I saw the storefront and said "cool! I have coupons for H&M. Let's go!" We were in the store for nearly 2 hours and never once had an associate greet or approach us. I asked multiple times for somebody to send a tall associate or one with the hook to get a shirt off of a high hanging rack. No one ever came so I finally asked a tall customer for help and he was more than gracious. I had to literally grab an employee walking by to ask a question and she seemed annoyed because she said she has another customer waiting. All I needed was to find out where the teenage section is. She said they didn't have one, turned on her heel, and walked away. Apparently the store goes from maternity - small children - adults. That makes absolutely no sense but I guess for some reason it does to H&M. My friend and I finally got aggravated and decided to go pay. We waited in a very long snaky line to finally get to a cashier who then refused to except any of the coupons. The 40% one ended the day prior but she would do nothing to honor the coupon. The 20% coupon was a retail me not online coupon and because the store has no phone reception we were unable to pull the coupon up. The associate told us there's nothing she can do because she can't take our word for it. So we had to go outside walk down the sidewalk get the coupon back on our phone take a picture of it and, walk back to the store and wait again in the long snaky line. As I was looking over my pile one last time to make sure I wanted everything, the associate said "just give it to me! Its easier if I do it all!" I paid for everything on my card so we could maximize the discount. The girl put everything in one H&M bag which was completely stuffed because we had bought 10 items. I asked her if we could have another bag so that we can split up our clothes and the associate looked at us and said "I can't give you an empty bag. I can only take tour bag and divide the clothes up myself." you. So apparently we aren't trustworthy and aren't able sorting our own clothes into a second bag. What did she think we were going to do with the other bag? Every single item in the store has a security tag on it!!! We left, disgusted, and the more we thought about it, we decided to take all $250 back and ask a manager to refund it all, while we tell them how the associates were too busy giggling to each other in their ear pieces to give customers service. Go to Tillys or Forever 21 instead!!
