Today was my first time at the classic Midnight Diner in uptown. We chose to eat here during the daytime/lunch hours due to easy parking, but unfortunately there were no spots. And the lot there charges $7 for 12 hours. Why not have an hourly system for when all the spots are taken?? Fortunately we parked and had waited around long enough that spots opened up in the "free" parking and then finally headed inside.
The Midnight Diner really has that old school Diner feel that I love. Their menu followed the same theme with a large breakfast offering and sandwiches and entrees as well. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries. The fries were really good and seasoned well, but the chicken tenders were not crispy at all and in fact we're kind of limp. I had to use a fork to dip them in the sauce because they kept falling apart.
For the price and atmosphere, I would definitely still come back, just probably would pick a different meal.
