As a family, we consider ourselves to be pizza snobs. My husband was raised on Pizzeria Bianco so he is not willing to ever waste his time on bad pizza. For some reason, we had always steered away from trying Federal. Maybe it was because it's the same owners of Postino and they do bruschetta so well we thought there was no way they could do pizza well? I'm honestly not sure, but 2 weekends ago we decided we wanted to go somewhere new for date night and landed on Federal. We were NOT disappointed!
I had the pizza (can't remember the name) that comes with arugula, ricotta cheese, figs, and proscuitto and it might be my new favorite meal. My husband had another pizza that was equally as good (I can't remember what he had because I was way too interested in my own food) and a coffee beer that he said was the best coffee beer he had ever had. Our service was great, the food was bomb, and we loved it so much we decided to come back last weekend with my sister in law!
My sis in law happens to be gluten free and it can be challenging for her to find good pizza, but apparently this place hit the spot. She said that their GF dough was as good as the real thing, which is saying a lot if you know anyone who is GF.
