I have not rented from Hertz in awhile, but yet again, it was about money (i.e. cheaper option).
Upon arrival, I came down to the rental counter. Well, it had 2 people behind them and a bunch of self serving kiosks. I was forced to use a kiosk... They literally had someone pop up on the screen to talk to you... Fucking weird! And the guy had a road in the back ground... Some major WTF?! This is what I hate about car rental places where the commission is in play... The guy was trying to upsell me... He really wanted to put me in a Chevy Cruize... And I thought he was talking about what kind of car I was getting based on my booking. Some serious WTF?! Until I noticed the up charge on my order, he never mentioned he was trying to upsell me. That was some major deception! Most people might not have caught it. Try disclosing it next time. I should have walked out right there on the spot and take another rental, but could not as this rental was company pre-approved.
I ended up with a Nissan. The car did its job and got me from point A to point B.
The only good experience I had with them was when I returned the car. The lady who accepted my car back was awesome, perky, professional and funny. She is the only reason the place is getting a D- and not an F-.
