Cute little place, bring your own wine is always fun. The waitress gave decent service but she seemed new and/or rushed. $40 for five courses is quite the bargain, and the presentation was nice. The problem was just the food: tastes bland, reheated from frozen (seemed to be one young hipster guy in the kitchen doing just that). They drown everything in either olive oil, sage butter or Kraft pseudo-parmesan to at least give it richness and cover up the blandness/lack of fresh ingredients. My beef ravioli were like sloppy joe's, pasta was overcooked. Honestly, for what you're paying it's an OK value. When I was a college student I loved going to these types of places on a Friday night. But if you like good Italian, this is a neighbourhood where you can pay a bit more and get a lot, lot more for it.
