I have to say that a lot of work and thought went into this memorial. As the name suggests this is a memorial that focuses on the role southwestern Pennsylvania played during World War II. If you have the time, stop and read what is written on the memorial. Don't just walked on by or glance at it, seriously stop and read, you will learn a lot.
Start at the beginning, where it states "The War Begins." Take your time to read each side of the pillar. Continue of the first half of the circle and make your way to the second half of the circle. This part is called "The End of the War."
Each and every little bit of information is very informative. Plus you get a great view of The Point across the river. It's a nice little respite in a busy city.
