  • This was my childhood theater. I went every weekend from the day it opened until about 2004. I recently heard it got a remodel like the one in tempe and my wife and I went to check it out. Lets get the pro out of the way. The design itself is pretty nice. As is the theater setup. Still stadium style but more like the harkins in fashion square than the even level of AMC centerpoint 11. The screens look new and big too. I also love the little touch of the seat numbers being lit. Now for the cons. 1. They desperately need to add a way to scan tickets off a mobile phone like the tempe location. Us tech savvy people have fandango/amc app on our phone and don't want to have to print our tickets or wait in line when we already reserved our seats on our phone! Cmon it's 2016. 2. It's hot in there. The A/C is seemingly nonexistent in the main lobby and very poor in the theater. 3. Popcorn is everywhere. How hard is it to hire a pimply faced teenager to sweep throughout the day? They used to have that. The tempe one is clean as is the Biltmore location. Clean the place up. I'm a neat freak so it really irked me. I always told my wife we would not move back to Ahwatukee until they remodeled the theater. Well now you finally did so just keep it clean so we can all be happy.
