| - Sushi Wa isn't the top option for AYCE but they're good enough to get regular visits. We can always walk right in when our go-to spot is busy. The sushi is consistent as is the service for us.
With plenty of seating, including some high back booths for privacy, there is rarely a wait here. On busy nights, they'll have two to three servers running the floor with male manager/owner that's doing all the seating, running food, and helping out with take out. I've noticed two servers that are consistently there, with frequent turnover with the other servers which may lead to an occasional inconsistency with service depending on who is there.
The AYCE menu is pretty standard with your regular lineup of nigiri and hot apps. Some of the hot tapas aren't that impressive such as the soft shell crab and pork belly and I would suggest you steer clear of to save room for sushi. I usually don't make it to the rolls, but when I'm there with friends the do prefer rolls, they have decent list of interesting and unique ones. For the non sushi eaters, the bento boxes are a good value with Korean BBQ short ribs being the favorite of my wife.
Pricing is $23/$27 for lunch/dinner with super late hours for the night owls. Some people get their panties all bunched up over non Japanese owned sushi joints. But for me, you can come from Mars and have an extra arm coming out of the top of your head, as long as you can make sushi rice and can place a fresh piece of fish neatly on top of it, I'm a fan and you'll get my business.
