| - I recently purchased a bouquet here for my mother's birthday. While the bouquet turned out quite well and my mother liked it, I wasn't blown away by my experience here. I told the girl who was helping me that I didn't know much about flowers, and she said she would help me out, but I didn't find her all that helpful. I tried asking her some questions about whether she thought certain colours would work together or would clash, and she just looked at me like I was an idiot and didn't really offer that much input. In the end it was mostly just me pointing at random flowers that I thought looked interesting or nice.
I also thought their selection of flowers was lacking. This location is a lot bigger than the one at Brookfield, so I was expecting to see a large variety of flowers. However, I found it was quite limited, so I wasn't too impressed with that.
I had no idea how much the bouquet would end up being until it was all wrapped up, and it ended up being about $73 after tax! Hands down the most expensive flowers I have ever purchased. While the bouquet looked lovely, the flowers weren't the BEST quality, considering the steep price tag. It's been about a week and a half now and they are starting to look a little bit brown and wilting. I'm pretty sure I have purchased cheaper flowers in the past that have lasted longer...
I will say that perhaps it was just bad luck for me. A man came in shortly after me looking to buy a bouquet for his wife, and the florist who helped him seemed a lot more enthusiastic and helpful, and I heard her describing the different types of flowers to him. Considering how pricey this place is though, I would expect to receive consistent and outstanding service like all the time, so I still have to say I was disappointed.
