Dined at Capo's on Tuesday night because I have always heard about this place and saw that on Tuesday nights they have a Locals deal.
First off, the place is really cool even from the moment you walk inside. Totally 1920's dark ambiance, mobster themed and it was really different and fun. They have a gentleman singing live music from the 1920's and a magician going around to the tables. It was a fun and unique dining experience. The only downside was having to wait almost 20 minutes for a table we had a reservation for.
As for the food, the table bread sucked which you would expect it to be at least warm and tasty from an Italian restaurant. Our server was very nice and I ordered a glass of wine which he forgot to put in and gave me two glasses for the price of one (Ill take a late drink any day for that). All entrees come with a soup or salad. Our server recommended the Cesar salad which I thought was sub-par and my entree actually came with an additional cesar salad on the plate with it so I would have preferred if he told me that and I would have gone with a soup as a starter instead.
I had just watched a food network or travel channel show on off-menu special items in Las Vegas. Capo's has a secret menu item called "Leftovers" and it looked amazing on the show. So I ordered it. It was a really interesting dish and I can see why it is called the Leftovers. Its a grilled chabbata and cheese bread on the bottom with a mountain of sausage and sauce covering the bread with two fried eggs on top. I thought it was delicious. My husband ordered the chicken parm and it was so yummy I will probably get that next time.
Overall, very cool place with good food. We will definitely be back, but most likely on Tuesday night because its a good deal.
