| - I felt the need to write a review to help people like myself, that have to deal with a pharmacy at least once a month. The medication I take is dire for my needs - so it's important that I am working with a pharmacy that cares and works with integrity. Unfortunately, CVS pharmacy on Conlan Circle is anything but caring and helpful. Don't get me wrong, the front of the store's staff is incredible. Without a pharmacy, they would be a standout store for their customer service, but the customer service in the back is some of the worst I've seen. Today marks the third time I've tried to use CVS pharmacy to fill my prescriptions and it ended in disaster like every other time. Normally I go to Rite Aid for my prescriptions - they are cheaper than most other pharmacies, they always seem to have a fast and knowledgeable staff, and they really care about people - never had a single issue with them in the years of medical issues I've endured. I know what you're thinking - 'then why go to CVS at all?' - Well unfortunately, Rite Aid is a couple of miles out of the way for me and this particular CVS is within rock throwing distance of my job, so if I could use the CVS pharmacy, it would be easier for me. The first time I tried to use CVS, I dealt with an incredibly rude Asian man (please don't mistake my description for racism, it's the only defining characteristic that I can describe besides 'male' and 'wearing uniform') who made me so upset and was so rude that I actually took my prescription back after I had already given it to him so I could just go to Rite Aid. He was condescending and treated me negatively after he saw the mediation I was filling - almost as if he was judging me for what I'm required to take. Well I noticed as I frequented the store for lunch a couple of times that this man was no longer there, as least not when I was, so I decided to give it another try. The best way I can describe the pharmacy is a small space in the back of the store where about 7 or 8 passive aggressive women silently hate everyone while taking the most amount of time possible to do anything to invoke maximum frustration. All I wanted to do was drop off a prescription and I waited for over a half hour and not one person was able to help me. I get that places get busy, but a simple 'thank you for waiting' or 'we haven't forgotten you' go a long way when someone has waited for over a half hour and you barely acknowledge them. The pharmacy at the Rite Aid only ever has one or two employees working, yet somehow they were miles faster than a pharmacy with 8 people - even when it's typically busy. Again, I had to take my prescriptions and leave. Well, I'm not one to be defeated and I've worked in a retail environment before, so I can empathize with hating everyone as well as your job, so I decided to give this one more shot. If I could make it work out, it would make my life so much easier... But today I went to drop my prescriptions off and ended up being "helped" by a woman that should feed alligators or box people for a living, because customer service is not her calling. I spent 20 minutes at the drop off counter as she proceeded to mess up the data that was in the system and then treat me like I was the problem. Everything was set up in the system - I should have been able to just drop the prescriptions and come the next day to get them. As I stood there looking at my phone as the minutes rolled by, thinking 'great, now I'm late getting back to work' I finally decided to cut my losses and give up. I took the prescriptions back and our dear old alligator boxer CSR copped an attitude as I took them and walked away.
Super long story short - Save yourself three terrible trips to H3LL and go to Rite Aid pharmacy instead. If you're going for anything but RX, the CSR's at the front really are wonderful.
