Review for the casino only- 3.5 stars but rounding down since it wasn't quite 4 stars. The parking lot is close to the entrance of the casino, which was great, and you can tell Wild Hourse Pass was built pretty recently. I love that there were air vents on the floor as well as the ceiling, so it wasn't as smoky as the Fort McDowell Casino (and also a lot closer if you're staying in Tempe or Phoenix for Spring Training). They give you $10 of free play for new people signing up for the players club card. You also get another $10 of free play if you reach 10 points that day. They had a good variety of slot machines, but most were always full! I didn't attempt to play any of the table games, but it looked like there were empty seats at a few. The drinks servers are few and far between, so make sure you get their attention when you see one.
Overall, Wild Horse Pass is definitely recommended over Fort McDowell Casino, but I will have to check out the other casinos in this area the next time I'm in Arizona!
