Ugh I have to say out of a few locations that I've been to this has to be one of my least favorites. :-(
I find the young, not serious girls that work the counter in the AM to take their job as a place to hang out & gossip with each other & spend time on their cell phones. They are not very friendly when checking in. I've said hello to one girl a couple of times & she never says hi back so I stopped saying hi to her. I find these girls very unprofessional & rude. Where is management to see this behavior?
When I go @ night the men that work the counter are awesome! I never see any of them on their cell phone or gossiping with each other & not paying attention to the customers that come in. These guys take their job seriously & ALWAYS say hi to me & others.
So onto the gym itself......I find if I get there early in the AM during the week by 8am & I hit the women's only workout room I have plenty of choices on what cardio machine I can use, if I end up getting there a little later say 8:30am then its kinda crowded. There are a few machines with TV's hooked up to them so you can chose what you want to watch & there are a couple hanging from the ceiling. The upstairs cardo room has some equipment with attached TV's too & several TV's on the wall to watch. These I find very helpful to make my cardio work out go by faster.
This gym has probably everything you can need or want to use to workout with or on. A pool, sauna, hot tub & lots of cardio classes. There are also personal trainers too. There's a little food stand that makes protein shakes & healthy food & sells drinks.
Locker room has some lockers you can pay to use & the others you can bring your own lock, but NO over night use. Of course they are also equipped with private changing rooms & showers.
I gotta say there is probably a lot more girls then guys that go to this gym more to flirt with the guys & show off their makeup & outfits then actually workout. This is so annoying since its a gym & not a night club, but that is not LVAC's fault.
I wish they had hand sanitizers dispensers on the walls throughout the gym. It would also be nice if the gym posted signs asking members to disinfect the equipment after use. I'm not a super germ-a-phob but with all the amount of people that use this gym (parking lot is always crowded) & touch the equipment & the girls that I see coming out of the bathroom stales & not washing their hands (GROSS) I definitely don't want to pick up any of their germs & get sick.
It would also be nice if they had a no cell phone policy too. It's very annoying to be working out & be able to hear the person's conversation near you while he/she is talking on the phone. Or the people who are too busy texting on their cell phone to get off the machine so the next person can use it.
I mean seriously people you can't go to the gym for an hour or so & leave your cell phone in your car or locker & focus on your workout??? I enjoy the gym where I can have @ least 60 minutes to myself & not be worrying about who's texting me or whats going on on Facebook.................
