Ciro's Italian was my choice for dinner last evening with colleagues from Atlanta. My goal was a family-owned restaurant showcasing the best of University City. Ciro's did not disappoint. Starting with warm bread and a bottle of rosemary infused olive oil and another of balsamic; we were mesmerized by the divine smells. Two orders of fried calamari were crunchy with the lightest of batters. All of entrees were fantastic from veal Parmesan to pasta carbonara. And a selection of a nice 2013 Colluta Cabernet was perfect. There's nothing like accordion music to complete the ideal meal. It was so good, I forgot to take pictures!
