Urban Barn, aight...let me divide this review by the good, the bad and the ugly.
the good:
service on the floor is great it's not at all pushy and the lady who helped us I think her name was Oksana she was so nice they gave us so much time to decide on which pieces we liked, what textiles we wanted to use (huge selection of fabrics btw) just an all-around chill experience, also the service from the 1-800 hotline where they answer questions about delivery etc. they were very nice and even got back to me very quickly even when I had querries on the weekend which was impressive so 4 stars for in-store and phone services
The bad okay actually I'm rolling in the bad and the ugly together, here goes:
Everything was hunky-dory up until the day of delivery (the moving company that deliver for Urban Barn is called Avenue Moving & Storage btw)
The timeframe and window of delivery was perfect and arrived in a timely manner, but it was the deliverymen that I had a problem with!!! First things first I'm not ageist by any means but the 2 men delivering my furnishings (which were really heavy pieces by the way) must've been pushing their late 50s? I mean these guys were old for a job that requires heavy lifting! The moment I got them into my building I got an ear full of bitching and moaning about this and that, just non-stop complaining and they were bickering with each other too!!
it was like I was watching the Muppet show and watching the two old dudes sitting in the box heckling each other, but it was more stressful than it was funny ! honestly the only positive thing about the delivery itself was that they removed their shoes to bring my furniture in but other than that I could've used earplugs...bitching and yelling at the customer that you're delivering to is NOT good customer service Avenue Movers, not good at ALL ugh!!! One fricken star for that traumatizing experience! I do like my new bed though
