| - This is an update in response to Ocotillo's manager's reply to my original comments. I don't reply often on my two yelp accounts, only when I believe something has been mischarecterized or misleading.
In my review I was critical of the lack of responsiveness from the main office staff. The manager seems to thing I was referring to some third party service. No, I was obviously referring to your staff. Their priority is to fill empty apartments. Other than plan parties/events, they are hard to even get ahold of on the phone when you do have a problem and often they are not as truthful as they should be. Most of them will tell you what you want to hear to get you out of the office quickly or off the phone (when it's even answered) quickly. That doesn't mean they are not pleasant, they just are working for what is likely commission to fill empty apartments, which is common in this industry. They do not work primarily for current tenants, and you have not assigned one of them to make it the priority, other than to hand out packages delivered to the office and plan occasional events that most tenants don't go to (at least according to two of my neighbors who did go to some events).
Apparently in response to my comments regarding the fact that this is not the best place for children, you refer to a small pool and small area of grass for small children to play. Many other complexes have more grassy areas, more playground equipment and the like for all ages of kids. This is one of two pools, And it is surrounding by apartments and nothing is done to control the noise of loud music or large groups of unsupervised kids during and after pool hours. The main pool is behind the leasing office and it has no amenities for children.
The staff does nothing to deal with kids as young as 5 or 6 playing anywhere they want, including the pool with the small "splash pad" your mentioned , with no adult supervision. So people in apartments around this pool have to deal with it themselves. I have watched office staff and maintenance staff drive on by in golf cars where kids were openly playing in the parking lot. Rather than stop and tell them they can't do that, they drive on by. Someone is going to get hurt.
