| - FAMILY HOUR PACKAGE (Saturdays 10:00am-11:30am, before the ride opens to the general public). $50 includes 2 adults, 3 kids, 3 toys (valued at $12 ea in the gift shop), 3 juice boxes. Because we got to go in before it was open to the public, we had NO LINES, NO WAITING, and our PRIVATE POD with nobody else inside. If you have kids, you know how very important these things are.
The High Roller is the world's largest observation wheel standing at 550 feet tall at the very tip.
The ride takes 30 minutes to make a roundtrip.
The ride does not stop. (Translation: you need to pay attention when you get into your pod or you'll fall into the net below.)
The pod fits up to 40 people.
There are 28 pods.
PRICE in Mar 2015: pay attention to times of day, day of week, and whether you want bottomless alcoholic drinks/bar in your pod because the prices fluctuate. These were the prices at the time of our visit last week. The website looks like they may have raised the prices already.
Non alcoholic pods:
Day: $24.95/adult.
Night $34.95/adult
Kids 12yrs and under are FREE.
There are group rates (10+), family rates, and family hour rates, so check out all your options online before buying your ticket because it can get pricey.
Luckily for me I always follow in the footsteps of some great yelpers who have paved the way. I had no idea that this High Roller even existed in Las Vegas until Rod U. checked into their "Happy Hour" and Michael C. reviewed this attraction last month. Thank you to both Michael and Rod for making me a High Roller rider! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Vegas with the kids.
