My friends rave about this place so on a recent trip to Scottsdale, I decided to give it a go. Know that for brunch you are going to wait. So put your name in and go outside and sit on the curb or in one of the chairs provided as we easily were there for 45 minutes before being called.
Once called we started to go over the large menu. I wanted an omelette and my friend was hankering for eggs Benedict. They came and were good but the real winner had to be the pancakes at the table next to us, They smelled so good I was trying to stay in my seat and not grab them off of their table. I actually had "pancake envy" and if I hadn't just eaten my days worth of calories in one sitting, I might have ordered my own fluffy cake from heaven.
Anyway. Back to what we did order. My Bloody Mary was okay but not worth the extra money to get the bacon one (where I come from, bacon bloodies have long strips of maple soaked bacon in them not the chopped bacon here that merely stopped up my straw) And my omelette was good but not exciting. And even the sweet potato hash brown mix didn't do it for me.
Know there is a full bar so after breakfast we wandered over there to sit, drink and wait for the rain to stop. That actually was the highlight of our visit as the bartenders were trying to deal with a woman who had been "over served" at brunch and was proceeding to embarrass herself at the bar . . .made for some live drama!
If you drive, there is usually street parking on the blocks surrounding the restaurant.
The prices are reasonable, the servers are on their game, and the coffee is good so a solid showing in my opinion. I just wanted it to live up to my friends recommendation . . . .and it didn't.
