So let's be honest--the location wasn't in the most fun part of Phoenix, but let's face it, this is by the airport! To say the least, there's a convenient CVS Pharmacy & Subway across the street!
Check-in was a breeze, with very friendly front desk agents, who took my credit card to authorize a hold on my room ($50--and you get it back after your stay). They placed me in a room on the third floor, which I gladly took the elevator to my room.
The Room
Holy smokes! Upon entering in my room, I wasn't sure what to really expect at first, but my oh my, were these rooms huge!!! For one person, I had two double beds, a spacious bedroom, a quaint toilet and tub, and not to mention, a living room with a small bar and fold-out couch, and two T.V.s in one room--might've been too much space, but never hurts to have too much space either. It was nice to be able to use one of the beds to lay out all my clothes for what I'll be wearing the next day, and it was nice to have a decent sized coffee table in the living room, which I used, not only for work purposes, but to also use it as a place to eat my food from the takeout from the attached restaurant (which I'll review later).
Regardless, the room was clean, and spotless. I didn't really notice a sign of wear and tear, and dust anywhere. I'm quite meticulous when it comes to hotel cleanliness, but I have to say that I was very impressed with this hotel.
Although I did wish that there was a vending machine to grab some soda pops at night, this hotel worked for my purposes, and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. If I ever come to Phoenix again for work, I'd definitely choose this hotel, over any others.
Just an advice...
My co-workers and I were under the impression that a hotel shuttle would be running 24 hour hours, however when we left Phoenix Airport at 1:50AM for work purposes, we called the hotel, and found out that the shuttle stopped running at midnight, to which we had to get a taxi on our own to get back to the hotel. The hotel was nice enough to reimburse us for the mis-information, but just be careful on that!
Overall Experience:
Very positive, and wouldn't mind staying here again. Service is beyond excellent, and cleanliness shows in their room.
