| - Dare I say....I was actually pretty disappointed.
My company and I were craving something sweet two days ago, so we ordered:
Roasted beef sandwich - 4/5 - my ol' friend said that the roast beef was juicy and he enjoyed it
Vegetarian sandwich - 3.5/5 - I liked it. The veggies were nice and crisp and the avocado spread was nice. However, it was nothing special. The baguette was a little tough to bite into.
Macarons - 1/5 - Very dissapointed. I actually went here mainly for the macarons. My company ordered the 12 pack for us. It came with 6 flavors..and i got to admit it was way too sweet and the texture wasn't as good as the other macarons i've had in the past
Individual Cakes: They had the buy 1, get 1 free thing going on, so we got 12 in total. We ordered the creme brulee, opera, prince noir, the symphony, st.eve, and i forgot the other two. The only thing I liked was St.Eve. It was not too sweet, yet it had a perfect crunch to it. My ol' friend liked St.Eve, creme brulee and prince noir.
Service and Staff: 5/5 - They were so friendly as soon as we entered the door. They were very knowledgeable about their products. They packed our individual desserts and kept it in a box, while we ate the sandwiches , which were brought to us quickly after we ordered. After we finished eating our sandwiches, we asked if they could keep the box inside the fridge for 30 minutes while we walked around the neighborhood and they said yes nicely.
Overall: I would only go there again to try their breakfast/brunch...not their desserts....but it's very unlikely. Plus, it's pretty expensive.
*sigh...i had such high expectations for this place...
