This little resto is located on the east end of the Plateau and offers a daily menu of Caribbean eats including full plates, sandwiches and entrees, as well as fresh juices. The seating is very limited and this spot is popular for lunch so I always end up grabbing my lunch to go. Today was my second visit and I had the griot plate;. The plate comes with the fried pork which was tender and deliciously seasoned, a small salad with a fantastic dressing, plantains that are always fresh and warm, as well as a generous portion of flavourful rice with beans. I am hooked and brought my haïtien friend along who totally approved of the calalou beef. We got to share the rum cake for dessert, and I swear this had to be the more flavourful and moist rum cake I've ever had the pleasure of tasting!
The only reason I've given four stars is because of the service; although the staff is super friendly and personable, there is always one person on cash and serving so the wait can be long during lunch rush.
You can also pick up a few native delicacies and drinks as this spot also serves as a small market offering jars, cans, and bottles of Caribbean goods.
