  • Tried this restaurant after sushi over the weekend. I don't think this place has any ties to a Markham restaurant named "Dessert Kitchen" (without 'The') though their menu looks a bit similar. Nonetheless, after seeing a video on Facebook, I was excited to try this place. Unfortunately, it was only average in my opinion. The waffles on the menu looked really good, but they were not serving it (who runs out of waffles on a weekend?) when I was there. Instead, I had the "Winter of Love", which was Earl Grey tea ice cream on yogurt, mochi, mango, corn flakes, and what tasted like vanilla ice cream at the bottom. The flavours were good, and had a nice balance though more mango could be added. The portion size was modest for about $7 though it could have been larger. The decor is small though we were able to find a seat around dinner time pretty quickly. Service was friendly though at times slow due to more guests arriving.
