| - My family has been here for 9 months. We originally signed up to move into a 2 bedroom, which was reasonably priced. Upon moving in, we just happened to check the apartment to make sure the electric company had turned our lights on. It had the strongest cigarette smoke odor I have EVER smelled. Of course, there was only a 3 bedroom available, at that point we had to take it. We had to be out of our previous place. We then had to transfer power, We paid $400 more a month, even though it wasn't our fault. While living here, our AC unit has been completely torn up twice.(Luckily my hubby is handy, or we would have been without for weeks.) We have mold around the base of our carpet, next to the walls. Maintenance has treated it with some type of spray, but it returns. We have to spray Clorox on the base boards to help. The wall kits that were used in the tubs were not caulked and there is so much mold there as well, (not something you can clean as it comes from behind the plastic.) We have had numerous other problems. The rent is too high for all of the issues that are present. Unfortunately, Quan is not here anymore. He always showed compassion with the tenants. If you do not posses excellent customer service skills, you should not be working with the public. If you are a property manager, you should not only maintain the property, you should maintain a level of courteousness with the people living here.....at least speak to the tenants when you walk by them. SO RUDE. This is the South. However, we do like the gentlemen that's in charge of maintenance. Beware of this place for sure. Also, you must take your trash to the front of the complex. So, for the tenants in the back, be prepared to put it on, or in your car to get it there.
Consider Legacy Apartments instead if you need to stay in the PKES district. They offer valet trash! They have more strict policies and guidelines. They also have 9 foot ceilings with ceiling fans and lights in every room, where as this place only has 8ft. ceilings and no light in the living area, sunroom or second/third bedrooms. Ridiculous.
