I'm not great at bowling, but I know enough to be competitive and enjoy myself. And I know how much fun it can be when you're with good friends and company. The only thing that could possibly make this better, is where you choose to bowl. The AMF Bowling Center in Mesa is definitely one of those places.
In this day and age, with all the competition out there for your entertainment dollars, namely the multi-tainment centers, it's nice to see a classic place step up their game. We ended up in Mesa while out celebrating my girlfriend's brother's birthday. This isn't your father's smokey alley. Walking in on a Friday night didn't leave that awkward feeling you get on league nights, as if you walked into a private club.
The music and sound system are excellent. The food and drinks are above average. The computer interface is simple. The rates are really good too (after 8 on a Friday night). The shoes are actually kinda cool too! Needless to say, we had a blast! Compared to the rates at another Mesa alley, AMF wins this battle.
