UPDATE: since writing the review, I have contacted OneGuard regarding the increases in my premium and service fee. Basically they gave me the same reason for the increase in both my annual premium and service fee, which are the history of my claims and the age of the home. I questioned them and asked since they've already considered the factors while they are putting together my premium for renewal, the increase in service fee seemed like "double dipping". They were not able to give me a reasonable answer.
The whole time on the phone, they kept quoting my claims from 2014. Two of the claims were cancelled by me so there were only two actual claims processed: one for adding refrigerant in my ac unit and the other was replacing the electron for my microwave.
I do not feel like the increase in both my premium and service fee were justified especially considering the quality of service provided by OneGuard didn't reflect the same steady increase during our past 3 years of experience working with them. I am certain I will be going somewhere else for home warranty service next year.
So let my lessons save you some headache, there may not be companies much cheaper than OneGuard but at least research thoroughly and find a company who can provide dependable and quality service to make you feel like your money is worth it.
