  • Well I know the energy company gets a bad rap when the chips hit the fan, or whatever Gloria says on Modern Family. I am giving a positive review as well as giving other newcomers info they can use when you hear there is a crazy $570.00 deposit on your account before you even unpack. For a month now I dreaded my bill. We were sitting here nervous as anything thinking the bill would be horrendous. Sure enough our bill today included a deposit of $570.00. Our own bill for about a month of electric is $388.00. I gulped and called NV Energy. The automated menu was not difficult before I was given a real person. A very pleasant young woman named Valerie informed me up front that my deposit would be waived entirely if I were to set up automatic payments. This was such a relief after all the expenses we had had in moving here. She did not make me wait to hear this very needed news! Also after a newcomer has his/her own three months' energy history you can set up even monthly payments over the year so you can budget. If we set that up now it would be based on a previous renter's billing. This is very helpful. This review is for Valerie's helpful and welcoming demeanor. NV- prove yourself and be good to Valerie!!
