| - Out of the many years I have lived in Las Vegas, I haven't had the urge to explore more until I had my son. This was my first time exploring the Springs Preserve - driving in, it was like a hidden gem in the desert. Parking was not an issue, on a weekday, mid-afternoon. I solely wanted to come because of the butterfly habitat exhibit I kept seeing on Facebook. A lot of access way, if you have a little one on a stroller. Everyone was pretty informative, signs posted everywhere. The botanical gardens, walkways, etc. were peaceful ( zen ) to walk through, yes with a toddler lol. The butterfly habitat is indoors ( greenhouse ) - and it was beautiful to just watch the butterflies flutter. I even went through the museum, there was cool stuff to see ( Nevada history, etc.). I will definitely come back to one of their many events, and I think it's worth it for the $25 a year membership /$60 for a family, and that's unlimited access to the museums, discounts, and tax deductible! Our first visit was not the last.
